La Blockchain per lo sviluppo rurale
Abstract
Abstract:
A blockchain is a public ledger of transactions that take place within its network. This paper will introduce considerations on how to develop this technology for the benefit of rural growth, since in agriculture - as in the whole food chain - blockchains can be adopted for multiple purposes. The paper, however, offers an overview of new Rural Social Innovation models that set the sight on the re-appropriation of practices by communities. The basic concept revolves in fact around the idea that technologies must be applied according to new ideas of sustainability in order to achieve positive social, environmental and economic impacts.
